We are officially ready for Christmas. Outdoor décor is finished. Indoor décor is finished. We’ve got Alexia’s adorable Christmas pictures with Mr. Zappa and Santa. Presents are purchased and under the tree.
And most importantly the Rudolph room is complete. Come on is it any surprise that a house that contains 800 Pez dispensers also has a Rudolph and the Misfits of Christmas collection that takes 7 tubes to store after Christmas! We have Rudolph sheets, clock, mugs, socks, underwear (yes with blinking red lights – get that image out of your head!), slippers, stocking holders, forks . . . you get the point.

Christmas was great this year. As with any holiday, there was a couple of “Griff moments.” Last year I fell through my attic. The year before, I had 2 root canals. This year I injured my eye and had to wear a pirate patch for 3 days. Are there photos? Yes. Will you see them? NO!
After blowing a couple of breakers with the holiday lights, we were ready for some holiday fun. First up is the grand tradition of having xmas with Baker. Baker’s the easiest to buy for. I just go out and pick something I would like and put a ribbon on it. We had Christmas with mom on the 23rd this year. That was great because we got to spend more time with all sides of the families instead of being rushed. We got mom a media center that plays CDs, tapes and something called “records.” Ahh, nothing like hearing Sesame Street Disco for the first time in 15 years!
The next day with had Christmas at MA’s family. I’m not sure what Christmas is going to look like when we have children. We already have a spoiled dog! So naturally he came with us so he can open his presents as well. Our big gift to them was Zappa’s autobiography. You think I’m lying? Check out this link! It took me . . .i mean him . . .FOREVER to make. This was also one of MA’s big gifts as well!
All and all it was a great holiday season. Nothing extreme happened this year. I didn’t have a big hole in my ceiling and end of year went surprisingly well. Hopefully 2007 will be just as good. And with my new noise canceling headphones that MA bought me, I can now drown out my co-workers and get a little peace and quite at work as well!
