As you can tell, we’re rarely updating our site anymore since moving over to Facebook and Twitter. However, we’re keeping this alive for a little while longer and our emails are still valid. We’re also posting pics over on our Google Picasa page.
Thanks
Griff, Mary Alice and Alexia

I'm a little upset they didn't dedicate the entire paper to me, but oh well :)

I'm happy to announce that Mary Alice is pregnant with our first child (due in July). We surprised our families and friends with the news on Christmas. You may recognize that this is the seventh sign of the Apocalypse so just a warning!
We're both very excited and can't wait for the next chapter in our lives.

I’ve been looking to buy a particular painting now for almost 6 years . . . Salvador Dali’s Inferno #1. Basically Dali painted around 100 paintings detailing the Divine Comedy. So it’s the first painting in the series. Since Dali is my favorite painter and the Divine Comedy is one of my favorite pieces of literature it had special meaning. The problem is there’s a ton of fakes of this particular series as I found out of the hard way 6 years ago. Luckily I got my money back after I put a not so pleasing web page up about this “respected” art gallery. Anyway, long story short we now own Inferno #1 hand signed by Dali.
We also got another kick ass painting several months ago by our good friend Celeste which now completes our “Egyptian room.” (Yes I know Celeste I should have post this months ago but I’ve been trying to avoid the computer after 6:00 p.m. lately).
Anyway enjoy.

For those that didn’t hear I lost my grampy (grandfather) this week. I wanted to thank everyone for the kind words, emails, thoughts and prayers. He was without a doubt the single greatest human being I’ve ever had the honor of knowing. He was a great husband (married 65 years), father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Well my website got hacked so I’m just now getting our Christmas pictures up. How big of a loser do you have to be to hack a website whose tag line is “just another useless website.” I guess when you’re living in mommy’s basement playing World of Warcraft you probably get bored. But no worries, I got your IP address and for those who know me from college, 2 can play at this game. Payback will be fun.
I’m also doing general maintenance on the site, so if you get errors, just email me and let me know and then hit the refresh button. I realized the other day that this website is 5 YEARS OLD!

Good-bye 2005 . . . FINALLY. This year flat out stunk for us so we’re glad to see it go. Root canals, broken foot, deaths and our dream house turned into a nightmare. Here’s hoping that 2006 is nothing like 2005!
Happy New Year!

Ok, no one can say I’m heartless anymore cause we rescued a dog a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t help it. He was looking all pitiful when we were shopping in Franklin. It was raining, he was very very skinny and had a wounded leg. So we took him home with the intention of fixing him up and finding his owner. Yeah, that happened. His name is Zappa (it was either our first born or the dog . . . MA chose the dog for some reason). And for those wondering he’s more named after Frank Zappa’s son and guitar god Dweezil. So far we’ve taught him to sit, stay, lay down, shake paws and bark at the incompetent contractors that built our house. GOOD BOY!

Last year I said “I’m going to update our website more.” I also said “we’re going to visit friends and family more too” and everyone knows what happened. Mary Alice and I got mono and the rest is history. We refer to it as ‘the black plague’ In addition to that I worked my butt off last year. My new years resolution for 2004 was to get my career on a certain path. Now that I achieved that, I’m working on getting back to a “normal” schedule. Working 60 hours + a week took its toll on my health and body (NO comments Samantha). I got on a diet and lost 18 pounds, but gained 10 of it back after our cruise. Still not bad since I’m eating healthier than ever. I’m working on losing 10 more pounds and keeping it off. I will wear 34 pants again. This I swear!
2004 will go down as probably one of the worst years of our lives. I think Mary Alice will agree. It seemed like anything that could go wrong, did and usually right after something else tragic had just happened. But the most important thing was we survived and are closer because of it. The fact that Mary Alice and I were quarantined for 6 months in our tiny apartment without killing each other is a testament to that.

We have two shows that Mary Alice and I call “our” shows: Cheers and Law & Order. So this really really sucks:
Jerry Orbach, who walked the beat on NBC's Law & Order for the last 12 seasons as sardonic Detective Lennie Briscoe, has died of prostate cancer, his publicist said Wednesday. He was 69.
